Laura – 3 Easy Halloween Cocktail Recipes
I’m nowhere near a professional mixologist, but I do love a good cocktail! With many years of hosting experience under my belt, I’ve grown to learn a thing or two about making crowd-pleasing drinks. Today I’m sharing Spirits of Hallow’s Eve: 3 easy Halloween Cocktail recipes to make for your Halloween party, girl’s night in, or whenever you’re looking for a spooky twist on happy hour!
If you’re hosting a party or gathering, these drinks can all be made ahead of time in large batches. I love to use beverage dispensers or serve them in pitchers using reusable ice cubes to keep them cold without watering them down. You can also keep them chilled in glass carafes and ice buckets. If you make them in large batches ahead of time, be sure to set out a DIY garnish station and whip one up as an example for guests to copy.
Let’s dive into the 3 cocktails!

Magic Moon Martini
Magic Moon Martini / 1 serving
2 oz vodka
1 oz lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
Activated charcoal
Edible glitter
- Combine vodka and activated charcoal (I use approx. 1 pill per drink) in a separate glass, and stir well until fully dissolved. This will turn the vodka black but does not have an added taste.
- Stir in a few pinches of edible glitter.
- Add the vodka mixture, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds until chilled.
- Pour into a martini coup glass over a sphere shaped ice cube.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and decorative bat pick.
- Enjoy!
Tip: make your own simple syrup by combining equal parts water and sugar in a small pot over low heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Then cool and store refrigerated in a jar for future cocktails!
Vampire’s Kiss
Vampire’s Kiss / 1 serving
2 oz tequila
2 oz black cherry juice
1 oz Grenadine
2 oz soda water
Honey
Red food dye
Maraschino cherries
- Mix 2 tbsp of honey with 1-2 drops of red food coloring on a small plate or rimmer.
- Dip the rim of a goblet glass in the “faux blood” honey and let the drips run down the side of the glass. Tip: for a less messy cocktail, you can also pipe the red honey mixture onto the inside rim of the glass instead.
- Add tequila, black cherry juice, and Grenadine to a shaker with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds until chilled.
- Pour into glass over mini ice spheres.
- Top with soda water.
- Garnish with 2 maraschino cherries.
- Enjoy!
Poisoned Apple Brew
Poisoned Apple Brew / 1 serving
2 oz whiskey
2 oz spiced apple cider
1 oz lime juice
Apple slices
Sugar
Ground cinnamon
Cinnamon stick
- Add 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp ground cinnamon to a small plate or rimmer. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Moisten the rim of a lowball glass with a lime wedge and dip into the cinnamon sugar.
- Add whiskey, spiced apple cider, and lime juice to a shaker with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds until chilled.
- Pour into glass over 1-2 large ice cubes or whiskey stones.
- Garnish with 2 apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Tip: elevate the experience by carefully lighting one end of the cinnamon stick. Allow it to burn for a few seconds, then blow it out to create a warm smokey aroma.
- Enjoy!
