In this post I’ll be sharing a list of creative photography prompts for your Instagram stories during the month of October.

Today I’m excited to share a month’s worth of photography prompts to get creative during spooky season.
If you’re unfamiliar with photo challenges, here’s how it works:
- Save this photo prompt list to your phone. I recommend saving it in a separate photo album so you can reference it daily.
- Follow the prompt list to take your photos (or videos!) daily and post them to your Instagram story. Be sure to include the hashtag #TWGdaily to join the community. Also, feel free to tag me (@theweekendgypsy) so I can repost and share your creative pics to my stories as well!
- Create an Instagram highlight to save all of your photos/videos in one place. Tip: name it something like “Oct. Photo Challenge” for future reference.
Bonus Content: At the end of the month, you can create a collage/calendar with all of your photos from the challenge. If you’ve taken videos, combine all clips together into an Instagram Reel or Tiktok!
The goal is to enjoy getting creative for just a few moments each day. Play around with different filters and songs/audio clips on Instagram to fit the “theme” of each photo.
