In this post I’ll be sharing some styling inspo and casual outfit ideas.

So… let’s talk DEPOP. It’s an app that has a similar look and feel to Instagram, but every photo actually displays an item for sale.
Instagram + shopping = yes please.
I had sold a few items on my Depop years ago, but just recently rediscovered the app as an amazing place to find vintage, reworked, and second hand clothing, accessories, and other miscellaneous homeware goods.
Since I already LOVE thrifting and collecting “gems” I decided to start sharing my hand picked finds with the Depop community in hopes of re-homing and giving each piece a second life.
In an effort to offer some styling inspo, I put together a few outfits around each item in my first big drop.
Outfit 1
Starting off with a casual look featuring this y2k style baby pink “angel” t-shirt. I love the mix of a super casual top with some faux leather pants and a lot of chunky gold jewelry. I always cuff the sleeves and often tie the shirt at the front to help define the waist.
Outfit 2
This outfit is my go-to for those days when you want to look a bit more put together, but stay comfy enough while running errands. I love styling oversized button downs or blouses in many ways. For this floral satin blouse, I went with a method I call the “half tuck.” I love that it defines the waist while staying casual and flowy at the same time.
Outfit 3
Another one of my favorite ways to style a blouse is slightly off the shoulder, and tied in a knot. Depending on the material of the blouse, I either pair it with a lacey bralette/cami or just go braless with my favorite nipple pasties. I paired this beautiful cream silk blouse with a red shoulder bag for a bold pop of color.
Outfit 4
I’ll admit this outfit is a bit out of my comfort zone, but this little cropped cardigan really needed to have it’s moment. I’m calling this styling decision the “reverse cleavage” where the top part is conservative and the bottom portion of buttons are left undone. I paired this cardi with light washed high waisted denim for a more a more casual and approachable vibe.
Outfit 5
Blazers have slowly become my latest thrifting obsession. I’ve picked up so many great ones at the thrift shop but this particular one was SO unique with it’s super on-trend yet neutral rusty burnt sienna color. I love ironically styling a structured blazer with sportswear and more casual pieces, like biker shorts and a simple tank or graphic tee.
Outfit 6
This retro 90’s nylon windbreaker is by far one of my all-time favorite thrifted gems. So much so, that I am already jealous of whoever’s closet this ends up in! I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple and monochromatic to make the jacket the star of the show, and added layered gold jewelry for a bit more pizzaz.
Outfit 7
This last outfit is personally my favorite and most often worn. Nine times out of ten, you’ll find me in some variation of an oversized sweatshirt, biker shorts or leggings, and statement hoop earrings. Keep it looking more put together by adding a more feminine shoulder bag, bold sunnies, and a fresh blowout.
Hope this gave you a few outfit ideas for some casual looks you can rock with pieces from your collection.
