Frosted Mistletoe Margarita: The Perfect Holiday Cocktail
Whether you’re hosting a holiday party or simply cozying up with a good book, this Frosted Mistletoe Margarita is the perfect companion. For this, youโll need a splash of white cranberry juice to evoke that serene winter wonderland vibe. Or, swap this for some classic red cranberry juice if you want a more vibrant and festive color. Both are equally delicious and guaranteed to impress your guests!
Ingredients:
- 2 oz white cranberry juice
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz Cointreau
- Soda water (optional for a touch of fizz)
- rosemary sprigs for garnish
- fresh cranberries for garnish
- lime slices for garnish
- 1/2 cup sugar (optional for frosted garnishes)
Craft the Frosted Garnishes
To make the frosted garnishes, heat equal parts sugar and water on the stove. Remove it just before all the sugar dissolves for a textured simple syrup. Dip the cranberries, rosemary sprigs, and lime slices in this syrup, coat them with a bit of extra sugar, and let them dry. Voilร ! You’ve got frosted magic.
Shake Up Your Margarita
- Mix and Chill: Add tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice, Cointreau, and ice to the shaker. Shake it up for 30 seconds until it’s perfectly chilled.
- Pour: Pour the mixture into a glass rimmed with sugar or salt, over ice. Use a strainer for a smooth pour. Optional: top with a splash of soda water for a touch of fizz.
- Garnish with Flair: Adorn your margarita with frosted cranberries, rosemary sprigs, and lime slices for a beautiful presentation.
- Enjoy: Sip and savor the festive flavors!
Tips for Hosting
Want to prep for a crowd? This margarita can be made in large batches! Simply mix the base ingredients (omit the soda water) and set the frosted garnishes aside in bowls for guests to decorate their drinks.
So, there you have it! Your Frosted Mistletoe Margarita is not just a cocktail; itโs an experience, a celebration, and a little piece of holiday magic in a glass. Cheers to joyful gatherings and unforgettable moments!
